Monday, October 18, 5:30 pm until 6:30 pm
The City of Greenfield is receiving $5.1 million from the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA) and will be soliciting comments on the use of the money from the public. Mayor Wedegartner will show a slide presentation explaining ARPA and how it can and cannot be used, and will be seeking public comment at the meeting. Please also note that the City is looking for citizen input on how the money might be spent, after presenting the federal guidelines.
ARPA is a federal grant which will be allocated to the City in several installments to aid in the recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. Eligible uses for the grant include investments in water, sewer, and broadband infrastructure; replacement of lost public sector revenue; and support for public health related to the impact of COVID-19.
People who cannot attend on the 18th are encouraged to send their input via email to Mayor@greenfield-ma.org.
