Schedule of Public Meetings & Hearings
The Commission will review a Request for Determination of Applicability filed by the City of Greenfield for activities associated with the Wellfield Generator Project at 195 Mill Brook Road. This work aims to add a backup generator at the City’s Wellfield to provide emergency power to Pump Station No. 1 and the corrosion control building, as backup power currently does not exist for the entire facility. During a power outage, the City desires to keep the corrosion control facility and Pump Station No. 1 operational. The generator will provide a reliable power source to provide potable water to customers during emergency situations. This RDA is being filed since portions of the proposed work will occur within Riverfront Area, and the 100-foot Buffer Zone to Bordering Vegetated Wetlands (BVW), as regulated under the MAWPA. Additionally, work is proposed within the locally regulated 25-foot No Disturb Zone.
The Commission will review a Request for a Certificate of Compliance filed by TRC Environmental, representative of the New England Power Company, pursuant to condition 71b of the Order of Conditions (OOC’s) issued by the City of Greenfield Conservation Commission for New England Power’s (NEP) Green River Utility Lines Structure Relocation Project for Structure 452 on the 230kV, E205 line and Structure 244 on the 115kV, Y177 line in Greenfield, Massachusetts. TRC certifies that project construction and postconstruction restoration of the Site were completed in accordance with the approved plans and the general and special conditions included in the approved Order of Conditions dated July 13, 2021.
