Conflict of Interest

Every year all municipal employees, appointed board members, and public officials must complete either the Conflict of Interest training or acknowledgment requirements.

Municipal employees, appointed board members, and public officials must complete this training within 30 days being hired or given the "Oath of Office".
    • Current municipal employees, appointees, and board members must:
      • Complete the training and acknowledgement section in calendar years ending in an even number
      • Complete the acknowledgement section in calendar years ending in an odd number

Municipal employees, board members, and public officials will need to create an account to access the State Ethics Commission’s new e-learning management system so that they can complete the new conflict of interest law online training program and acknowledge receipt of the summary of the conflict of interest law. These requirements can be completed on any computer or mobile device. Completion of these mandatory training and education requirements will be automatically recorded.
