Volunteer Program

Greenfield Council on Aging Volunteer Philosophy Statement

Volunteers partner with staff to enrich activities, programs, and services offered by the Council on Aging. The Council on Aging is committed to creating meaningful opportunities for volunteers to express their talents, skills, and wisdom to benefit community life.

The COA welcomes community volunteers of all ages; a volunteer application and a criminal record check, also called a CORI, is required (we will only ask you to submit a CORI if we find a placement for you). If there is no immediate placement, we will keep your application on file for future openings.

Our volunteer positions are:
  • Kitchen and dining room
  • Dishwasher
  • Front desk operations
  • Room set-up and breakdown
  • Craft instructors
