Lt. Todd Dodge
Chief Dodge started with the Greenfield Police Department as a reserve officer in July 1998 before being promoted to patrol officer in August 1998. Dodge’s background encompasses a comprehensive list of responsibilities within the department, including detective, motorcycle patrol officer, field training officer, bicycle patrol, special response team, sergeant, corporal and most recently as logistics lieutenant.

Deputy Chief William R. GordonDeputy Chief William R. Gordon

Deputy Chief Gordon has been a police officer for the city of Greenfield since June 1993. Prior to that, he worked as a part-time police officer in the towns of Sunderland, Leverett and Nantucket. Gordon was promoted to the rank of sergeant in September 2000, and to lieutenant January 2007. He was appointed deputy chief in January 2021. Gordon has an associate degree in Criminal Justice from Greenfield Community College, a bachelor's degree in Science in Law Enforcement and a master's degree in Science in Criminal Justice Administration, both from Western New England University.

Senior Account Clerk Judith Brown

Ms. Brown joined the department in 2018. She comes to the Greenfield Police Department with account management experience in government accounts. Her primary responsibilities include payroll, preparation of invoice schedules, budget monitoring.

Court Administrator Attorney Jeffrey Bengtson

Attorney Bengtson joined the Greenfield Police Department in 2015. He grew up in Brattleboro, Vermont. He attended Western New England College and graduated in 2004 with a bachelor's degree in Business. He earned his law degree in 2006. He worked in the Northwestern District Attorney's Office as a prosecutor from 2006 until 2013. In 2013, he opened a private practice until joining the GPD. He is currently the department's court liaison. His hours are Monday to Friday 6 a.m. to 2 p.m.
