Planning & Construction


The Planning and Construction Committee is responsible for:

  • Monitoring the physical condition of all municipal buildings and other facilities.
  • Meeting with representatives of municipal agencies to evaluate the need for additions, renovations, or remodeling of any existing building or facility or for the construction of new buildings or other facilities.
  • Filing written reports with the Mayor, at least annually, in which it makes recommendations as to the need for any project or projects.

The Planning & Construction Committee operates under Section 6-7 of the City Charter.


The committee usually meets on the second Tuesday of the month at 4 p.m. as a hybrid meeting, in-person at the City Hall Meeting Room, Room 203, 14 Court Sq., Greenfield, MA and via Zoom. Please check the calendar for scheduled meeting information, including Zoom links and agendas.
