Appointments & Ordinance Committee

WHAT WE DO

The Appointments and Ordinance Committee is a subcommittee of the City Council comprised of five members of Council.

The committee's work consists of:  

• Considering the advisability and merit of new ordinances and/or ordinance changes, as well as the form and legality thereof.
• Reviewing mayoral appointments to multiple-member boards and making recommendations to the full Council for action within 30 days.
• Holding all public hearings on the above matters unless otherwise provided for.

MEETING SCHEDULE

Appointments and Ordinance meetings are held the second Wednesday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the City Hall Meeting Room, 2nd Floor, 14 Court Sq. and via Zoom (hybrid meeting) unless otherwise posted. Zoom links for all city meetings held virtually or in hybrid form are in the meeting notices posted to the calendar along with agendas.
