WHAT WE DO

The Ways & Means Committee is a subcommittee of the City Council comprised of five members of Council.

The committee deals with all matters pertaining to:

  • Expenditures,
  • The city budget,
  • Tax classification, and
  • Other financial issues.
Ways & Means holds all public hearings on the above matters unless otherwise provided for.

MEETING SCHEDULE

Ways & Means meetings are held the third Tuesday of each month, and by special posting, at 6 p.m. at the John Zon Community Center, 35 Pleasant St., and via Zoom (hybrid meeting) unless otherwise posted. There may be instances when the meetings are moved to the third Wednesday of the month, before the City Council meeting.
