Through the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Public Health Services Grant, a Public Health Inspector position has been created to support the City of Greenfield and its partner towns of Deerfield, Montague, Leverett, Shutesbury and Sunderland. The Health Departments are engaged in an innovative initiative to strengthen core local public health services, to advance the recommendations of the 2019 Special Commission on Local and Regional Public Health, and promote healthier communities across the region. The Public Health Inspector will split their services between two or more Public Health Services Grant partner towns, to be determined. High School diploma or G.E.D. required; Associate’s degree in office, health, business or related field preferred. Two years of office experience preferred in a health office or municipal office. Must have a valid class D driver's license.
