INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SUPPORT SPECIALIST


Purpose is to provide skilled technical and administrative duties in supporting operations of the Technology Department; to support and execute the City’s information technology operations including hardware, software and systems support for City departments and the school payroll department as assigned. All other work that is logical to the position. Responsible for end user training and information, guidance, and support related to IT hardware, software and networking issues, including other ancillary electronic equipment or programs.

Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field or five years of proven experience, or a combination of education and experience that enables performance of all aspects of the position. Experience in assisting users remotely and onsite is required. Two years experience: troubleshooting network connectivity and VPN related issues; basic routing and switching concepts; Windows Server administration; incident management; Server, Desktop and applications troubleshooting; Laptop, Desktop and Server hardware support. Knowledge of Google Workspace preferred.

Must successfully pass CORI/ SORI checks. Must have a valid Class D Driver’s license. Must have an acceptable driving record and be insurable under City’s policy. Emergency on call rotation required. This is NOT a remote position.

Annual salary: $47,496.08 - $60,798.92
