How to Obtain a Dog License
2022 LICENSES ARE NOW AVAILABLE.
YOU MUST BRING A CURRENT RABIES CERTIFICATE TO THE CITY CLERK'S OFFICE.
Any owner or keeper of a dog six (6) months or older must license their dog annually, by April 1st.
Dog licenses are available at the City Clerk's Office, City Hall, Room 104
- $15.00 license fee for dogs not spayed or neutered.
- $10.00 license fee for spayed or neutered dogs **.
- $25.00 late fee is imposed after June 1st for unlicensed dogs.
CASH OR CHECK IS ACCEPTED.
If the dog(s) are no longer under your care, please notify the Clerk's office to avoid a non-criminal fine for failure to license your dog.
Additional non-criminal fines may be imposed by the Animal Control Officer for violations of town ordinances.
** A spay or neuter certificate from the veterinarian is required at the time of licensing, unless information was previously recorded by the town.
